I think we've finally found a place for these drapes. They've been in the living room and all around. Now, they have settled in to our den and I quite like them. By the way, this was Jeremy's idea. Good job, kid.
Try to picture this: sunny, warm afternoon. Adela, her son Emilio and my kiddos going for a nice walk. Then London drops Trou. What in the world?! This is not the time to be mooning people, my sweet. But, you sure do have your daddy's cute booty.
The wind was awful today! Not just a breeze, but a "blow the flag out of the flagpole" type of wind. Thank goodness I didn't have any place I had to be today. Don't let the sun fool you; it was nasty. And by the way, I don't like flags in my bushes.
And pretty guts, at that. Tina was off to Philly for a special photo shoot this morning. Beforehand, she came over, coffee and danishes in tow, for me to do her makeup. We had a great time, and we giggled like little school girls at all the excitement. Super fun, this girl is.
As I browse through creative blogs (it's my new "drug of choice", quite addicting I must admit), I get so inspired to create. I had purchased these frames a while back and they had been hanging in the den all empty and alone, for about a month. I thought, why not symbolize the family in some sort of way? So I used the birth years of us four and drew them on paper and mounted them in these frames. These two are for London and Jeremy.
The girls came over for some makeover fun. Tina hired me to do her makeup for an awesome photo shoot she had coming up, so I invited Char and Adela as well. We had so much fun drinking wine, doing each other's makeup and just being "girls". Giddy, giddy.
"Whatcha doing, ladies? Wanna come over and play? Read me a book? Cuddle on the Boppy? Have your people contact my people and we'll get a playdate going."
. . . so what! The kids or Jeremy won't notice, right? I surprised the fam, as well as Char's family with Valentine's Day cookies. I just love this time of year (lick fingers, clean frosting off keyboard, yum).
It's here! The first day of school. I cannot believe my baby, my first born, is starting this exciting journey of exploring through education. Dang, about another 19 or so years of this, London. Get ready for a mug-shot the first day of school, each and every year. Seriously.
I had a hard time picking a picture for today. It was super fun-filled, two parties, lots of great friends and food. Heck, I think I actually saw one play of the game and maybe 3 commercials total (I was too busy socializing with my girls). But I chose this picture of Iveth. She is so full of life, so sweet beyond compare. I admire her in so many ways. Kisses, my friend.
So we filled up the potty chart with lots of good "deeds" and stickers to prove it. I think London is ready to be officially potty trained! This has been a long time coming.
London is the guru on all things "lip", from gloss to lipstick to balms. But today I decided to do more than just her lips. A little blush, shadow, shimmer. Melt. I can't help but think about helping her get ready for prom, her first date . . . until then, I"ll enjoy the excitement on her face as we take turns giving each other makeovers; and I'll resist the urge to just gobble her up.
I am no longer the Cougar. You and I are the same age. So for 3 months you can rule the roost with the age card. But come April, here comes the Cougar again! In all seriousness, you are amazing. I love you so much. And you are quite easy on the eyes, too.
